Mend Ford 4000 Light Find Dash

Dynamo Light On?

I have a Ford 4000, mid 1970's. I have fitted a new dynamo but find that the light on the dash remains on, as it did with the old dynamo. I've checked what I can on the wiring loom for any loose connections and find none. The battery doesn't appear to charge well, if at all. Any suggestions to sort this are welcome.
