Mend Mountfield SP530 Lawnmower Engine Pull

seized mountfield sp530?

I was mowing a lawn with said lawnmower running well, stopped half-way to empty cutting box, couldn't restart. I yanked on the pull cord but didn't unwind like usual turning over the motor.

Pulled on the cord as hard as i dared but no movement. The lawn looks terrible, please help!

I bit the bullet and rang up mountfield in the end. they explained the piston was stuck through suction to the end of the cylinder with some oil.

to fix it I had to remove the sparkplug and then pull the cord. to remove the oil I primed it 6 times and pulled the cord 6 times still with sparkplug removed.
