canon MP 190 a plastic strip about5m x42m ?

A thin clear plastic strip about 5m x42m has come loose in my Canon MP 190 is looks as though it's come off the bar that the ink cartridges run on, it has elongated holes either end which look as thought they should hook over something, it also has the letter L printed on it. do I really
