My hotpoint condensor dryer leaks and floods the kitchen floor?

Even when the water cartridge is emptied, my Hotpoint condensor dryer leaks water constantly. The towel on my floor has become a permanent fixture. Does anyone know how to fix the problem? The leak tends to come from where the cartridge is located or from the bottom of the machine. Please help.
