upvc door?

The door to my conservatory wont open, It is a upvc door with a multipoint locking system, which is operated by pulling the handle upwards.
To open I pull the handle down; however this morning after unlocking the door the handle wouldn't go fully down, and the door is jammed in the closed position.
the top of the door is free, but the bottom stays firmly secured.
My assumption is that the linkage within the door has come loose, my question is how do I get into the door to repair it.

Try lifting the door, sounds like your door has dropped, sight to see if the door is level at the top. When open you have adjusters on hindges.
If this fails you will have to deglaze it.
Please don't put excessive pressure on handle you will strip gearing.

I have had this problem in the past, it will be the gearbox mechanism that needs replacing, you will have to give the handle a good hard pull downwards with as much pressure as possible. Once you get the door opened there is a metal strip that runs down the centre of the door, look for makers model number on this strip, as these can be purchase over the internet.
