my cabriolet roof does not work?

i own a renault megane cabriolet, the 1 with the roof that comes down ( hard top) i recently took it too renault to have the roof fixed and they told me it will take a lot of man hours and just over £4000, to have it fixed, i own a 04 plate in blue, is there a way i can repair this myself, they told me that the part that moves the roof is bent and needs replacing
