Grinding?

There is a grinding sound form the dyer. I believe that the bearing on the main axle has has gone. However, I can not get a hold of this on the Hover Maxin. When I looked at the rim from the interior, It appears to have has slipped off the central point. Any ideas on how to repair or if we are flogghing a dead horse
