Mend Triton Opal Electric Shower Fault

Triton opal shower?

I have aTriton opal shower. It turns on okay. When i try to turn it off, it stays running, but goes cold. I have to switch the electric off at the main switch. The shower is then off completely.!!! What can be the cause?
