can it be fixed?

my canon digital camera model 1xus 8515 10 mixels ; my camera has on and off switch which i think mite be the problem . it doesnt want to come on most of time . sometimes comes on but not alot . i took battery and charger to shop today to be tested and they are both fine and working correctly .
