another short term repair, depending on the size of the holes it to repair it.
What happened with my dryer was that the rivets had burst through the back of the dryer leaving holes about 3/4 inch in the drum where they were originally mounted.
I took off the bearing from the back of the drum and the backing plate that mounts it to the drum.
Drilled out the 3 rivets that connected it to the drum.
Took the bearing down to my local nuts 'n' bolts place. Got 3 round headed bolts, 3 locking nuts, 3 large metal washers - total cost 37pence.
I reassembled the bearing to the back of the drum with the rounded head of the bolt and the washers on the inside of the drum and tightened the locking nuts up until it was solid.
Remount to the backing plate and put everything back together.
Job done and working perfect.
Worth trying before replacing a full drum!
