Mend Creda T622CW Tumble Dryer Faulty

what is wrong with my creda t622cw tumble drier?

The drier is only operating on a very low heat although it is set on the high heat setting, it takes ages to dry .The door catch is not very good and sometimes comes open unless wedged with something, could the two things be connected or is it something else?
