I swapped the pcbs in the pads, and yours works a treat! I did power down to avoid any potential problems. Thank you for also sending the spare tamper switch for the panel.

Is that what that they said to you? What a cheek!!!. I suppose once they grow big, they don't care. But I do like the scantronic panels, and the 9800+ speaks for itself. Don't know about the current cooper Menvier partnership & the range of 97X1 panels.

What I'LL do is swap the pcb in the keypads. The one I fried was practically new & only recently took it out of the attic to fit a separate keypad upstairs!! It was collecting dust for the last 8 years, and I decided to fit it at last, but what do I do??? bugger it up!!!.

I'LL let you know as soon as I get it.

give you a laugh,i contacted cooper sec,and ask how they can justify charging that amount for just the keypad,when i can buy the complete thing cheaper,
guess what their answer was?.......................

its a great panel bennie,we have fitted over a thousand of them,the original keypad was a pest because that stupid door kept getting broken off,and took the look of the unit,with the pcb and trannie,you should be able to keep it going for a long while,i dont know the state of the programming in the pcb,you may have to reset it back to factory conditions,its an fiddly thing to package,but you should get it soon,regards,charles m

Hi gts, thank you for the battery change advice. Yeh the costing on the 9930 keypads just wierd.I know cos I was considering to upgrade to a 9751 panel cos I just couldn't get hold of the 9827 pad. But I'm really grateful to you for sending me the keypad. Couldn't thank you enough. This 9800 panel has served me so well, I just did not want to change it.

keypad on its way bennie,the pcb to follow,have included the tamper switch and trannie,the round disc that the tamper switch leans on has gone walkabouts,but am sure you can deal with that,

scantronic did a retro fit kit,it was the new pcb plus that new keypad i sent you,then they sold it as the 9651,it was to help us guys out of a hole,but here is a laugh,if you want to buy that new keypad by its self,it costs,£67.00,but if you buy the 9651 panel,complete with the keypad,we get them for,£45.00 plus vat,!go figure,:-)these are trade costs,

Just a quick question gts, I want to change the battery in the panel. Do I enter engineer code, power down mains, & change the battery? Will this not make the external sounder come on?
