Mend Conia M380 Good Year Problem

How can i fix M380?

We bought a Conia M380 through sale on newspaper. So we didnt get manual. It was operating good for almost a year. But now there is problem that we cant switch the DVD on. The dvd is connected to power and we clicked the power switch on but when we try to use the remote to turn it on its not working. I even tried to change the remote batteries(thinking remote has problem) but still didnt work. Dont know what happened. 2 days ago we had a power surge and our lights went off(thinking will it be the problem)

you need to replace around 5 blown capacitors.

They only cost around three dollars each

they usually bulge out \when they blow

If you're in Australia contact JB Hifi or GoodGuys and see if you can get a copy of the manual. I suspect the power surge may have damaged the unit though (if you can get a manual it's worth checking first though).
