problem with lock on n/s/r door on vauxhall zefira sri?

having problem with n/s/r door it wouldnt open i removed the door card and opened door manually i then removed whole locking mec and fitted new one the door then opened and closed as should i then locked and unlocked and tryed the door again and it wouldnt open i can hear door lock and unlock but wont open any help would be great thanks. it is a 2006 b model
