Mend Panasonic RX-SR29 Recorder Work

How can I fix my cassette recorder, Panasonic RX-SR29?

my cassette recorder's "record" button does not get pushed down, so I cannot record anything. It used to work fine. The Red button is upright position and I cannot push down. It is Panasonic RX-SR29.
