Mend Vaillant VCW GB 242 EH Boiler Combi Heating

Where can I get a manual for my Vaillant VCW GB 242 EH combi?

I have a Vaillant VCW GB 242 EH combi which is acting up. Just had a guy replace the pressure release valve for 100 quid. Now he says its too old and will have to be replaced. CH comes on when when the boiler is switched on but goes off again in a matter of minutes. Have to switch off completely and on to get it to go again. Also DHW intermittently doesnt come on when the tap is turned on. Anybody know what this is or where I can get a manual to sort it out?

I am also looking for a manual on-line for part numbers. Your problem could be a blockage in one of the weep tubes leading to the diaphram, or a weak diaphram (which will need to be relaced).

The installation and service manual could be sourced from Vaillant. May have to be a service engineer. Otherwise could photo mine.

How old is your boiler? I found cleaning out the control lines, the water, differential, and divertor valves will help. Lime scale (HARDWATER) doesn't help .

For small cost can photocopy my manual 76 pages?
