how can I get the bobbin to thread?

The empty bobbin will not fill. I have followed all the instructions in manual. I have cleaned housing and changed the needle. The needle goes up and down but never will engage the bobbin. Thank you for your help

Hello Trish,
You have not said what make or model but at a guess it sounds like a Singer touch and sew, if it is you may need to retime the machine, you can type my address as you say it not as you see it and email me and I will attach instructions.
