Mend Grundig CUC5360 Intermittent Sound Fault

Grundig CUC5360 TV Intermittent sound fault !?

no sound on startup, but when volume is turned up on either the handset or the button on the TV, sound returns, but only while button is pressed in, then when button is released, sound dissapears.

Nothing to do with audio circuitry and IF!! Power on main switch internal clogging - replaced switch and audio came on fine
