boiler?

boiler will only start up when taps are open , will not start up for central heating eventhougth its switched on for central heating and hot warter.
please reply ASAP has it is very cold and i'm freezing.
i have a ferroli optima 701

bleeno ,i can not find a diverter valve on my appliance give me another name in lay man terms wot about c.h selector switch may be faulty or not ! help!!!!!!!

Could be the diverter valve if your system has one. Strange you say there is no room thermostat as most Combi boilers have.

thanks bleeno, but i have no thermostat in the house , it runs off the bolier only

Check the room thermostat is set to above ambient.
