How can I fix my Dyson DC05 electrics?

The DC05 has 5 screws securing the two body halves together. Two under each wheel which can be accessed by prizing them apart, and one screw in the middle.

Use the drill method to get at the screw under the on/off switch,
Screw is a five slot automotive type
Result is one small hole afterwards
Small price to pay
Worked a treat for me, thanks to the author
