How does one undo the case of a Dyson DC05 to get at the electrical switch,which behaves intermittantly when the cable is pulled. I am a qualified electrical engineer.
The DC05 has 5 screws securing the two body halves together. Two under each wheel which can be accessed by prizing them apart, and one screw in the middle.

Use the drill method to get at the screw under the on/off switch,
Screw is a five slot automotive type
Result is one small hole afterwards
Small price to pay
