the pump won't pump the water out of the tub & all wires are hooked up?

Three possibilities: Top load only

The drive belt is broken (won't spin).

An article of small clothing got past the water seal between the two tubs (inner/outer) and is stuck in the water pump. Unplug it, bail it out, take back off, remove hose from tub to pump and check for obstruction.

The timer (for settings) on the control panel is bad.
