Mend Ferroli Combi Boiler Fan Hear Clicking

How can I fix a fan which works intermitently, Ferroli Combi Boiler?

On switching on the boiler,you can hear the fan clicking on, however it does not fire up If the front cover is moved or taken off, this at times immediately sets the fan to spark into life.
Is this a problem that anyone has experienced previously, and would you have any solutions.
(The fan lately has become more difficult to get working)
