why is my brush not working on my dyson dc14 full kit?

I replaced the clutch myself it tried to spin but was making a horrible loud noise i recheck to see if the clutch was in right looked fine to me turn the vacuum back on still the same problem brush not working and really really loud noise so what is wrong
