Mend Hotpoint Fridge Freezer Fan

how can i troubleshoot my hotpoint fridge?

my compressor runs and freezer gets cold, but the fridge doesnt get cold. i have found that the evap fan is not working and i dont think that the defroster is working either. can you please help?
