Is the gear box on an 814d the same as 814 lorry?

2 suggestions..1 is ,contact seller and cross reference data plates to see if it has the same ratios etc ,2nd is get chassis number and visit merc ,give storeman both chassis numbers and he can let you know if they are the same boxes ...if your not worried about ratios then it would probably fit ,though you would need a complete 6 yearly calibrationas different ratios would throw the tacho out ,and no dealer will just reseal a tacho
