Mend Aqualisa Power Turning Minutes

Aqualisa power shower - screeches??

My power shower screeches - you can stop it by turning off the power and using it as a standard shower. Once turned back on a couple of minutes later it's OK for a 5 mins then starts again. Anyone know what could be causing this please?

I recently repaired a customers aquastream that was making this noise and the part to be replaced is the pump solonoid. It costs about 75 quid direct from aqualisa, who in my opinion are absolutely brilliant. It would require someone with knowledge to fit it though!

mine does the same - im thinking its the brushes on the motor have worn down and the metal bits are rubbing against the copper motor shaft - was gonna have a look inside and see if i can get the brushes out without flooding the place -

Mine does it occasionally, usually after I've accidentally thumped the control knob with my elbow. Just sometimes, it does it spontaneously and then stops. I don't know what goes on inside the unit but I imagine it to be something which is spinning and catching an outer casing.
