Problem with diplomat dishwasher, none start?

Hi my diplomat dishwasher is about 6-7 years old and has had an intermitting problem where the lights on the top of the door will not come on and the machine will not operate.

This has now developed into a permanent problem and the machine will not operate at all. How ever, the lights do blink on occasionally when moving the door up and down.

Any suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated.

I have tested the power to the machine.
