Mend Hotpoint Ultima Access Replacement

How can I get access to replace the plug/cable ?

I have a Hotpoint dryer , Ultima . The plug burnt out and requires replacement . I can,t access the area , top cover, to reconnect the replacement plug . Any advice would be appreciated . Thank you .
