Mend Goodmans LD2667D Playing Tv Cable

Playing N64 (RF in) on my Goodmans LD2667D tv?

I recently got an RF cable to connect my N64 to the tv. So far so simple but the tv seems unable to 'source' the N64 using the remote! Used to be you could search for the signal... any help?
