mercades 200c, 1989, door locks do not always work, and sometimes the battery will drain completely. If any one could explain how the locking mechanisam works it would point me in the right direction to fix it
Do you mean a 200e? Chassis No starts W123 or W124
I think you will find this vehicle has a vacuum operated central locking system.
Failure may be down to a split pipe or leaking vacuum unit
or door filler flap unit.
