sony ericsson w810i charging error?

yr its the same after 5 minutes, or its getting error while swetch off mode charging also, what shud i do,,,,,

It is a Charger problem. Switch off the Set and charge for 5 min or so. There won't be any error at this moment and it will charge the battery. You may keep it this way until the Set is fully charged or switch on the Set after 5 min or so and the error will be gone.

Try this..
Switch off your phone. Connect your charger now.Wait till it shows that its charging (It didnt show any error msg at this point on mine). Now while charging, switch on the phone whilst the charger being connected. Hope this works for you. It worked on mine.

guys same problem showed up in my C901. But i kinda solved it !!!! What i do is that i plug in the charger first and wait like 5 minz. and then connect the phone. Its more like "warming up" the charger. And it is not a software related problem its in the charger maybe a capacitor(which requires to accumulate the charge frist). Using the same charger and battery for nearly 2 years.

I cross checked with other charger and it worked fine. In my point of view replace your charger. And still it hav the problem update your phone software.

Today I opened my SE charger and saw that a capacitor inside it has been damaged. This is the filter capacitor (470uF 10V) and smoothing the output voltage is its function. These chargers are switching mode power supplies and thus due to the high frequency used, the possibility of capacitor damage is high in them. In my opinion the problem is from the charger side.

Take a sharp object and scrach the residue of the phone charging plates (little gold lines) , it helped me :)

Nothing fancy. Its just a stupid connector design. If you are in an area of high humidity the problem will start almost as soon as you buy the phone. I am at my fourth phone and the fifth charger, no difference. One model had a flap over the connector. This one lasts longest. There are only three solutions. Keep the phone totally dry (rather impossible), clean the contacts frequently with Isopropanol and a cotton bud. And last but not least the quick fix:
Lick the charger contacts and plug in immediately. Saliva reduced the contact resistance. Works all the time.
Downside: Over time the contacts corrode even faster.

the reason why your phone keeps giving that message is due to the software not being updated, simply go to the sony ericsson website and click support and downloads, select your mobile phone and follow the on screen prompts on how to update the software , simple :)

This is my 3rd Sony Ericsson and it happened with my previous phones and now the current one too.

I have found that the charging plug which connects the charger after prolonged use, it seems to have a problem, it either does not connect 100% between charger and phone &/or the contact points have been eroded, therefore this problem.

However, once charged to full the phone does work. It may hang because of several "error, stop charging" waiting in queue. Just remove and replace battery and it should work fine.

battery problem, charger problem, IC problem are all just bull shit......................i faced the same problem "serious charging error stop charging ,,,,,".....i went to sony service centre...the re installed my software and everything is fine....its just a software problem....they fixed it in just 15 mins

Me & my Wife both have Sony Ericsoon W910i's. we obviously therefore have two chargers. One charges the phones fine (as does my in-car charger, the other mains charger produces the error "Charging Error - Stop Charging". Although the battery in the corner appears to be charging anyway, it isn't. it actually seems to be draining the battery somewhat. I think this is a charger related issue, NOT a phone one.

well it happend to me and i tried charging my phone in my computer and that worked so then i put it back in to my normal charger and if that dont work then you have a fake charger becouse when i had my k610i i bought a charger nd it was fake nd that sigh keept coming up

I called Sony Ericson when this happened to my phone and although they didn't supply me with a real answer, they did say that it was critical that you stop using the phone immediately and take it to the dealer and get it replaced under warranty.

There's a problem with you hardware battery sensors.

Try buying a new battery, if this doesn't do it... you need a new phone, sorry, no fix for this problem.
