semi integrated diplomat?

Have read some of the remedies but none seems to apply to mine. I do not have a press button programme control. My programme control is a round turn knob. When I turn on the machine, it goes for a couple of minutes, then the programme light and the start light flashes and thats all. It seems as if no water is getting in, the water entry has been checked and is fine, Please help me!!!!
