How can I fix the latch on my microwave door?

I have a Whirlpool model MH117OXST5 and sometimes when we opened the door while cooking, it would keep cooking! Now, when we try to type in the cook time, it says, "Please close door". It sounds like the door latch is not making a connection. How can I fix it? Thank you!
