The motor runs and it sounds like it's spinning but when you open the lid the tub is not spinning. All the water drains out but the clothes are still heavy with water. I spin the tub by hand to get it going and then I close the lid. It doesn't do this every time but I would say 2 out of 4 loads. The washer is about 11 years old.
