How can I fix My Front Wipers on a Nissan Primera P11 - 144?

The front wipers stop when on intermittent or single wipe mode and have to be operated to take them back to park. They work ok in low and high speed modes. I've checked the relay and is ok. Is there a park switch as part of the motor assembly and can it be repaired or will the whole motor have to be replaced.
