LG wm1832cw,LE error, already replaced Hall sensor, but?

Having re-assembled rear of machine after Hall sensor R&R and hand spinning the drum I am getting a tone and = appearing in the window(yes it is still unplugged), what I notice is that the inner shell will spin free about 2-1/2 revs, and come to a sudden halt with a drag, if reversing hand turn shell does same in that direction. Bearings , or drum obstruction? I'm a pretty fair R&R guy, do I have to disassemble cabinet to check between shells? Can bearing be R&R from rear, or disassemble, and remove drum for bearing R&R? There seems to be little to no play in the drum shaft....tiring of using Mom-in-law's washer.lol..
