Why my Sewing machine works slow,if I stop using it for couple of months?

if I didnt use my sewing machine for last couple of months,it starts very slowly and takes about an hour to work normally....can somebody tell me ,why is this and how I can make it better.

Hello Anney,
The oil on the machine has probably congealed through lack of use, oil the machine with WD40 which is a very fine oil before use.
