how do i fix megane scenic?

1997 megane scenic petrol has been juddering changing up and down from 2nd to 1st rev seem 2 drop It now seems to have fixed its self the tickover is higher and no juddering when going slow however there is a warning light on the dash but dont know what it is its yellow withlines going up and down at an angle like an inverted w
