Mend Prima Bread Maker Bake

How can I fix my bread maker?

My Prima bread maker has been in storage for some years. I used it the other day for the first time and when it reached the bake mode - it blew the trip switch. I believe the heating element may have absorbed moisture and either needs to be replaced or dried out. Can anyone help?
