Thompson DT16300 Tv Recorder?

I have aThompson DT16300 Top Up TV+Digital TV Recorder. The recorder has ceased to work. when I try to record a prog the info comes on the screen telling me that the disk is full and to clear some space on the Library section, yet there are no programs in that section waiting to view.
