very very smoky first thing on a morning and when warm very smoky going through the gears what could it be ? allso getting a whistling noise from somewere in the engine ?
sounds like valve stem oil seals need replacing-[this will be start up smoking fault] but i would start by making sure that emission fittings/pipework on air intake are ok and that flap is working correctly,air filter may want changing also.

check your oil, if its a creamy colour, then possible head gasket gone. or it could be your rings.
