Clear reset error?

Yes, This clears the reset error. But my unit immediately goes back to it, after it does it's 'CHECK'.
Any suggestions on something else to check...?

hi my sony boot changer keeps saying reset then turns off head unit , it worked for a short time then reset flashed up it burning my head out ? any sugestions

Turn on system
Push both the power and the Stop/Clear buttons at the same time.
Turn off system with power button.
System will clear all memories and restart.

I tried Jen's answer and at first it did not work. I had been playing a disk when it entered the "lock up" reset state.

I had to eject that disk and then it performed the check exactly as it should and it fixed everything. Many thanks for the suggestions here. Saved me a ton of frustration.

I was having a problem with my very expensive 9 year old Sony 5 disc CD changer. It wouldn't play the cd's. It just kept skipping each one and then showed "no disc" in changer on the display.

I tried the solution above, and I can't believe it worked!!! I thought it would be stupid to try it on my Sony, but after the stereo turned off. I turned it back on and it worked!!!

You are in luck! Try this, it worked for us today:

Hold the Stop and Power Buttons at the same time until the screen displays the message 'CD-100', then press the Power button. The player should automatically go into 'check' mode and should reset.
