Help in programming scantronic 9800?

Hi, I have reprogramed my system after replaceing the NVM chip, and have noticed that on part set "B" when activating the alarm the keypad sounder goes off. However when in full set "A" on activating the alarm there is no keypad sounder, is there a program code for this or is it a feature?
Much apreciate any help?
