not sure whether the cam has been changed we brought it from a "Trader" in autotrader (i have a few choise names for him!!!!). Will there be damage even though the car was parked up and not in motion. Its at my usual garage but just want to check as price does seem high

Is that price from a Renault dealer? Might be cheaper if you find an independent garage but make sure they know Renaults because they can be a b****r to set up.
Unfortunately it is a fairly big job, so I'd be just as worried if the price is too low.
Had the cam belt ever been changed, is there any warranty on it?
