i have a vauxhall corsa c, its oil light came on as it was making a noise, so a pulled over to check it, it says the oil was fine, so i took the cap off and it was smoking, a let it cool down n started car up again, but it then cut out n im not getting a kick out of it now, but prior to that, on friday night the roads were flooded so some water may have got into something..
did you check the oil on the dipstick?remove the air filter,if it is wet there is a good chance the engine hydrauliced and it may be terminal,you could try and remove the plugs and see if it turns over then and try and pump the water out the engine,refit the plugs and cross your fingers
