i have wound the piston in on my vectra but it only goes so far can anyone help as i need the car for monday

Try backing off the handbrake cables fully, then wind the pistons in, with the new pads in place re-adjust the handbrake cables to get the correct amount of travel on the lever 3~5 clicks
