LE Error on Machine after a clanging sound when water was being added ?

Have had the washer for 3+ years, the washer all the sudden started a loud clanging noise, but only when water was being added, it was definitely a noise from within the washer, no a water hammer arrestor problem. Then with a few minutes left in the load, the washer stopped, beeped about 6 times, then started flashing the LE Code in the digital display.. Please help.. Any Ideas?

I found an answer, after unpluging the washer, the washer re-booted without the LE Error Code, however if I started a load, I still got the horrible grinding/clanging sound... I then emptied the filter, to find an earring and bobbypin within the filter. After emptied, restarted a load and appears to be working fine..
