Mend Fisher & Paykel 053 Cycle Power Start

fischer paykel smartdrive 053 powers up no cycle?

Hi , I have a fischer paykel smartdrive 053. It will power up and all the leds come on but it wont start the cycle...does it have anything to do with the lid switch. I have heard this is a common problem...any info would be great. Thanks

Yes thanks mate you were 100% correct. The switch under the top panel of the machine , not in the lid, was all coroded. I by passed and put in an external door lid switch and fixed the problem for $3....I now have clean clothes again!!!

it will be a lid switch.If you push the start button and the LED stops blinking but the motor is not moving or no water entering
into the washing machine, it will be the lid switch. the washing machine will think the lid is opened. Open circuit lid switch.
