How can I fix my Canon PowerShot S60 digital camera?

How can I fix my Canon PowerShot S60 digital camera? A co-worker dropped the camera, and now when you slide the lens door open it doesn't power-up. No sound, no display, lens doesn't extend, nothing! There's no external sign of damage. I think it may be the "on" switch (in the lens cover?) but I don't know how to remove the cover.
