Mend McCulloch 330 Chainsaw Carburetor Mcculloch

McCulloch 330 chainsaw phenomenon?

I have a 330 Maccat chainsaw that works well on the ground and responds to tuning the carburettor scews etc. The moment you lift it a quarter of an inch off the ground it stops. Weird or what? Has anyone else experienced this.
